I never know where to start when I'm talking about myself. I'm a widow of suicide, mother of two, and a free-spirited woman whose passion for writing began around 2007. Technically, I started writing my first novel in the seventh grade and wrote poetry in high school and college, but I don't really count those as the beginning of my writing era. I've worked many jobs over the years and am currently in school to become a high school history teacher. Aside from writing and history, I'm very passionate about mental health awareness and suicide prevention. My kids very affectionately call me a crazy cat lady, but the truth is I love all animals - cats are just the easiest to take care of.
I want people to freely enjoy what I write without the burdens of having to pay for it, which is why I've posted them to this site - although I'm not opposed to being published. So if you like what I've written and are/know of a publisher where they'd fit, please feel free to contact me. I happily accept comments and criticisms in email, too.
And finally, I will leave you with what I tell my daughter every day: be kind to yourself and others.
